AxeBrew discussed the upcoming homebrew competition and fest at Peterson AFB. Judges and stewards are needed to process the record 458 entries received. There will be a judging session this Friday beginning at 1700. Saturday’s judging will begin at 0830. Breakfast and lunch will be served. The Fest will be held at the Peterson Club on Friday 17 Feb starting at 1700. For those that don’t have a military ID for base access, you need to pass the required info to AxeBrew by Sunday, 12 Feb. Brew Bros don’t let Brew Bros drive drunk — have a plan if you plan to imbibe.
ShoeBrew announced that we would be doing beer style themed meetings in the future, e.g. stouts in April. Members can bring their stouts to share and be judged. Stand by for more information on this.
LandyBrew explained the ‘pint’ system where members will receive ‘pints’ for their participation in club activities, i.e. judge/steward, hosting brews, and other activities above & beyond the call of duty. Landy is working to reserve a BJCP test in May 2013. There is a $175 webinar. Pikes Peak Brewery will be hosting UCCS brewing classes; 10 @ 3 hrs, $125 each.
AtorBrew discussed improvements to the website: calendar updates, reminders via Twitter, access control (username/password) will start in March He is working a classified/for sale, brew day and equipment checkout sections. Calendar access is limited to officers so send any events to Shoe for posting. The best way to spam all members is using Facebook.

Stay tuned for more. Shoe is working with Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont for a possible club campout.
